Director of Admissions
The director of admissions sorts through the paperwork for our newest residents, walks families through their financial options, speaks with hospital representatives and handles many other check-in duties. For Generations at Lincoln, Julie Williamson prepares medical and therapy records for the nursing staff, leads tours of the building and helps each resident find their ideal roommate.
For an athlete who played competitive sports while attending Illini Central High School in Mason City, it looks like a new objective every day.
“I have a competitive side, I like a challenge,” Julie said. “I’m always striving to do new things and learn.”
Julie first came to the facility in 2001 as a unit aide, making beds and handing out ice cubes to anyone in need of a cold beverage. She worked her way up (becoming a certified nursing assistant along the way), and now oversees the admission of everyone who stays with us.
“It’s more paperwork now, but you’re still dealing with the same heartfelt stuff,” Julie said. “I take that opportunity, when they come in, to make them comfortable, to assure them.”
